This page explains what information is collected when you use Chemistry Clarity.
Browsing the website
Chemistry Clarity does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and has no user accounts. You can read every lesson without giving us any personal information.
Hosting
The website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. When you visit, GitHub may process technical information such as your IP address to deliver and secure the service. See GitHub’s privacy statement for details.
Videos
Our videos are hosted on YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video loads from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced service (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube (Google) may then collect information as described in Google’s privacy policy.
Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address and use it only to send you the Chemistry Clarity newsletter (new lessons, study tips, free resources and occasional news about Chemistry Clarity resources).
- Your address is sent directly to, and stored by, our email service provider, MailerLite, which sends the newsletter on our behalf. See MailerLite’s privacy policy for how it handles data.
- MailerLite may record whether newsletter emails are opened or links are clicked, which helps us understand which content is useful.
- We never sell your email address.
- You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every newsletter. You can also email us to ask us to delete your address.
Age
The newsletter sign-up asks you to confirm that you are 16 or older, or that you have permission from a parent or guardian.
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply to you.
Changes
If we add features that collect information (for example analytics), we will update this page before they go live.
