Editorial Standards
Students and teachers rely on our explanations being correct. These are the standards every lesson follows.
Written and checked by a chemistry educator
Lessons are written and reviewed by a chemistry educator. Every published lesson shows the date it was last reviewed.
Accuracy first
- Explanations are checked against established textbooks and authoritative references.
- Where a lesson relies on a specific source, that source is listed in the lesson’s References section.
- We do not publish data, results or claims we cannot support.
Simplified vs. precise
Simple explanations sometimes leave out details. When a simplification could mislead you later in your studies, the lesson includes a clearly marked “More precisely” note.
Conventions
We follow IUPAC recommendations for names and symbols and use SI units. Where textbooks, countries or exam systems use different conventions (for example, different definitions of “standard conditions”), the lesson points this out.
Practice material
Flashcards, quizzes and worksheets are checked against the lesson they support. Every quiz answer comes with an explanation.
Independence
Educational content is never written to promote a product. If a page ever includes advertising, affiliate links or our own paid resources, they will be clearly labelled and kept separate from the explanation.
Corrections
If you find an error, please contact us. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly, and the lesson’s review date is updated.
